Poem: I’ll Never Be Alone

I could look into your eyes all night
You captured my heart at the first sight
Your lips so soft
In you I’m lost
A love that could last forever, I don’t know
He’s a gentleman who insists on walking me home
Exchanging numbers he can’t believe I’m alone

Five years later, I have a ring on my finger
Our baby’s laugh as my ringer
We have a house to call our own
And a promise from him that I’ll never be alone

Because we have a love to last forever
As we are a couple meant to be together
