The sequel to the number-one bestseller Girl Online.Penny’s bags are packed . . . When Noah invites Penny on his European music tour, she can’t wait to spend time with her rock-god-tastic boyfriend. But, between Noah’s jam-packed schedule, less-than-welcoming bandmates and threatening messages from jealous fans, Penny wonders whether she’s really cut out for life on tour. She can’t help but miss her family, her best friend Elliot . . . and her blog, Girl Online. Can Penny learn to balance life and love on the road, or will she lose everything in pursuit of the perfect summer?I wasn’t sure what to expect from the book as it seemed that all the loose ends had been tied up in the first book – however it has received good reviews and a lot of people have commented that it may even be better than the first. So I was looking forward to reading it and seeing how the story unfolded.
I soon found that there was plenty more that could be written about Penny and Noah. The story line seemed to develop and evolve much quicker in the second book compared to the first. Which was great as I had found the first book a bit slow and took a while to get into! Like most books which can follow a romantic theme it was a bit predictable at times but then a lot of books within this genre are.The characters continued to be relatable and the plot includes topics such as relationships, friendships, bullying, living away from home and anxiety. I think that this book is in some ways flows better than the first, but this could be because I read the second book straight after the first which meant I was into the style which it is written.I also think it is great how the character of Elliott is developed even more and there is more focus around his life too – I think as a best friend and as a character in the book he is brilliant!Overall, this book was a nice light feel good kind of book, and considering that it is aimed at young adults I found that I enjoyed it quite a lot.
