I was 3… just three years old when Harry Potter was given to us by J K Rowling. At three years old I wasn’t very interested in her creation – I was more than likely demanding a snack or being annoying in some other way!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zaJ5LLIRn0Fast forward 20 years and it is one of my favourite book and film series, although I now cringe a little bit when I watch The Philosophers Stone – I mean technology has come a long way since the films where first created.I was slightly sceptical when Fantastic Beasts and where to find them was announced but I had no reason to be it still has the magic and capturing story line of the original films and books.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vso5o11LuGUBut what is it that captured us all into the magical world of Harry, Ron and Hermoine? And why did we all wish that an owl would come through our bedroom windows with out letter to Hogwarts the most famous school of witchcraft and wizardry?I think it is quite simple really, we all want a place we can escape to filled with magic, love, hope, and friendship. There are funny moments, sad moments (why Dobby?), uplifting moments and I mean who doesn’t root for Neville?!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wy_kJu-UV28We read/ see them grow up throughout the books and we root for their friendships and relationships. The story line is so well crafted that it is hard to get drawn in to it.I have so many different pieces of merchandise, a onesie, pictures, posters, badges, replicas of the quidditch balls the list is endless… I know I am definitely not the only person with things like this stashed away. The last book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was released ten years ago in 2007 but that just shows, 10 years or 20 years on it is still a much loved story with fans all across the world still invested in the magical world of witchcraft and wizardry!
