One of my resolutions for 2018 is to watch more films. I tend to see the odd trailer for a film I want to see and then forget it is coming out so I don’t usually get to see it until months maybe even the following year after its original release. So over the past few weeks I have had a look at YouTube and IMDb to see what films are coming out during 2018 and have watched A LOT of trailers. So here is the 10 that I’m looking forward to the most however I’m sure this list will grow and maybe even change!Voldemort Origins of the Heir – JanuaryThis is a fan made film and I love Harry Potter so since this was announced it’s been on my watch list for a while and since the release date was pushed back from December I’m looking forward to a little bit more.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4ZcdFydXyEDarkest Hour – JanuaryDuring the early days of World War II, with the fall of France imminent, Britain faces its darkest hour as the threat of invasion looms. As the seemingly unstoppable Nazi forces advance, and with the Allied army cornered on the beaches of Dunkirk, the fate of Western Europe hangs on the leadership of the newly-appointed British Prime Minister Winston Churchill (Academy Award nominee Gary Oldman). While maneuvering his political rivals, he must confront the ultimate choice: negotiate with Hitler and save the British people at a terrible cost or rally the nation and fight on against incredible odds. Directed by Joe Wright, DARKEST HOUR is the dramatic and inspiring story of four weeks in 1940 during which Churchill’s courage to lead changed the course of world history. – Rotten TomatoesI saw the trailer for this when I saw Pitch Perfect and this is definitely something I would enjoy watching!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtJ60u7SUSwThe Final Year – JanuaryI like a good documentary, and this seems to be a long the lines of one. Plus I followed Barrack Obama’s term in office a little bit so I think I’ll find this quite interesting.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnaHHOMErVkGame Night – Februaryhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNtLIcyjsnISherlock Gnomes – MarchI enjoyed Gnomeo and Juliet so I think this will be a long the same kind of lines as that.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zC9b1orltc8Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom – JuneI unexpectedly loved the first Jurassic World film so I am looking forward to seeing how they continue it with a sequel.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vn9mMeWcgoMThe Incredibles 2 – JuneI remember seeing the first Incredibles film so I think I like the look of this because it feels like they have taken so long to release this!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fa6coq9JHE8Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again – JulyI really enjoyed the first one and I love Abba’s music (it’s a bit of a guilty pleasure) so when I saw the trailer for this I knew I needed to add it to my watchlist.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcSMdhfKga4Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald – NovemberThere currently isn’t a trailer for this one but I enjoyed the first one and all the other Harry Potter films I’ve been looking forward to this since it was announced. The final film I am looking forward to which currently untitled but is listed as by Disney due for release in 2018 and I’m sure by the plot that has been posted must be released around Christmas time and looks quite promising!Untitled Disney Female Santa Claus Movie, Disney, 2018Currently going by the running title “Nicole,” the story revolves Santa’s daughter who is forced to take over the family business when her father decides to retire and brother ends up getting cold feet prior to his first big Christmas Eve flight. There’s quite a few sequels on my list which can be a bit disappointing which I hope they aren’t! What films are you looking forward to?
