Celebrates the birth of show business, and tells of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a spectacle that became a worldwide sensation. – IMDBhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXCTMGYUg9AI went to see the Greatest Showman on New Year’s Day with Maddie (I’m not sure if she was looking forward to seeing the film or Zendaya!). I had wanted to see if for a while after seeing the trailer and also Tom Fletcher’s video of the premiere for it. Although I had seen conflicting views of what people thought of it.

so i’ve just watched The Greatest Showman in the cinema and that’s honestly my new favourite film wtf, i cried all the way through 😂 if you love musicals, GO AND WATCH IT RIGHT NOW, honestly! it’s SO much better than La La Land 💗✨ i now wanna join the circus 🐘

So when it actually came down to seeing it I was kind of apprehensive as to whether I was going to enjoy it as much as I was hoping to – I have always been a sucker for this kind of filmNow I’m not going to lie I wasn’t really aware that it was based around a real person/events so I wasn’t comparing it to anything – I was just there to enjoy the story, actors/actresses and the music. I really wasn’t disappointed! I was hooked from the beginning all the way through to the end and I was definitely disappointed when it came to an end because I would have happily sat in the cinema for a while longing to watch more of it.I would definitely say this is one of my favourite movies of all time purely because it is simply entertaining. Plus it pulls of the musical side of it really well and doesn’t feel forced however that maybe because I can’t be sold on musical films as easily as when I was younger and High School Musical was released (but who didn’t love those films)!This is definitely a film that could make it on to a stage and if it does which I really hope it does) I would definitely be getting tickets! I also think I am going to be putting the soundtrack into my spotify playlists!

Most of the time I enjoy movies that are considered ‘deep’ and the ones that have a touching story but I need to admit – I do like ‘simply entertaining’ movies a lot from time to time. Those without any message etc. – they just have the potential to make some boring nights a little bit more fun. So thank you for the review – I’m definitely going to check that one out because I haven’t even heard of it before!With kindness
