Our fourth day on the Broads was a very slow and chilled day.
We started the day with a fry up before getting ready to set off from Postwick Wharf where we had spent the night moored up.
We had a slow cruise down towards Breydon Water although due to the tide times we had to stop at Berney Arms Windmill.
We ended up having to stop here for a few hours as we had to allow time for the tide to change. We took the opportunity to take a few photos and have something to eat.
We saw a couple of people head off to cross Breydon Water so we thought we would follow their lead. Although it turned out we should have allowed more time before crossing Breydon water as the Broads Ranger told us we had to turn around and give it another hour before going across. Luckily after we gave it a little bit more time, we were able to cross Breydon Waters successfully!
We then continued on down the river towards Acle Bride Innas we wanted to have dinner there that evening. Knowing how popular Acle BridgeInn is and how busy the moorings get we knew the later it got the moredifficult it would be to secure ourselves two moorings. We thought our luck wasout after a nice slow cruise down towards the moorings as we went passed,however luckily there was still a few spots left outside Pedros! We managed toget moored up, and paid the fee to stay there (it was £10 for the night howeverwe would have had that taken off of the food bill has we eaten in Pedros).
My Dad had reserved a table in Acle Bridge Inn so we went straight over to have dinner. From our previous experience the food had been good so I was looking forward to having dinner there. I decided on a BBQ rack of ribs followed by sticky toffee pudding for dessert. I wasn’t disappointed and enjoyed every bite!
We managed to catch the end of the sunset as we got back on board our boats for the night which was a lovely ending to a great day cruising along the broads.
