Before you get started on today’s post have you caught up on what I got up to last week?

Monday 20th January

My week started off by getting woken up by Boris. He was ready for his breakfast and was definitely ready to get out of bed.

I spent the day waiting for 2 parcels, the one I had ordered didn’t turn up and I got a notificatin from Amazon to say that it had been delayed. They said that would arrived in 24 to 48 hours which I really hoped it would as I was going home on Thursday.

I also spent a bit of time working on my blog and catching up on watching some YouTube videos.

I finished the day by making dinner ready for when Marysia finished work which was prok chops, green beans and roast potatoes. It was very tasty.

Tuesday 21st January

When I woke up on Tuesday my leg was quite sore so I had a chilled start to the day by watching some telly and crocheted some more of my blanket

Watched AJ and the Queen on Netflix – I think I am going to write a review of it so I will keep it short here and just say I really enjoyed it.

As Marysia was working late I didn’t have to worry about making her dinner (she din’t starve don’t worry, she took something with her to work). I made myself fajitas which were really tasty as I haven’t had them in a while.

My parcel which was meant to arrive Monday didn’t turn up so I had everything crossed it would turn up on Wednesday..

Wednesday 22nd January

Boris had a lot of energy on Wednesday and his cheeky personality was definitely on show! Every time I tried to sit down and do anything with my blog he would try and get involved. He also decided that he wanted to bark and EVERYTHING.

Marysia and I had started watching Sex Education on Netflix and I finished watching it off, although I think the ending of this series was a little bit disappointing. It kind of felt like there should have been another episode to the series.

I made Marysia and I dinner ready for when she finished work. On the menu on Wednesday was Coke Chicken with rice. Marysia had made it before for us and I really enjoyed it so I thought I would give it a go. I think I smashed it. I timed the simmering of the coke just right so that the sauce was nice and sticky.

Whilst I was cooking dinner (sods law) the parcel I had been waiting for finally arrived. I was super happy with this turned up, I had been trying to find a replacement for my ‘smart watch’ for a while and when I came across the Honor Smart Band I decided that it ticked all the boxes for me. Hopefully it will get me walking more once this boot is off!

I finished off the day with Marysia by watching The Longest Yard, I hadn’t seen this film before and really enjoyed it.

Thursday 23rd January

On Thursday I was going back to mine so I had to get up SUPER early to get the train home as Marysia was dropping me off at the station on her way to work. Luckily I managed to get straight on a train to take me back to Cardiff which was great as I managed to nap a little bit on the way back.

Once I was back in Cardiff I had to get a bus home and the transport gods must have been in my favour as when I got to the bus stop a bus pulled up straight after.

When I got home there was a parcel waiting for me from Google which was a pair of socks for my contributions as a ‘local guide’

I spent most of the day chilling out, working on a few of the ‘background’ things on my blog. I also watched Isn’t It Romantic on Netflix. I really enjoyed it and was very funny – it’s a film that has been on my watch list for a while so it was good to finally get around to watching it.

Friday 24th January, Saturday 25th January & Sunday 26th January

The rest of the week was spent in work and on a late shift so other than sleeping I didn’t really do very much!
