Congressional aide Erica (Graham) forgoes family Christmas to travel at her boss’s behest. At a beachside Air Force base, she clashes with Capt. Andrew Jantz (Ludwig), who knows her assignment is finding reasons to defund the facility. (IMDb)

Operation Christmas Drop is a Netflix original film released in 2020, directed by Martin Wood, starring Kat Graham, Alexander Ludwig, Trezzo Mahoro among others.

As a romantic comedy this film is pretty mediocre (at best) it is actually based upon a true story which is the main reason why I decided to watch this film.

Whilst I enjoyed Operation Christmas Drop, I wouldn’t say it is the best Christmas film I have seen. In fact it is probably best as something to have on in the background whilst you are doing other things. The story is definitely very predictable and you would be able to keep up with the plot without paying too much attention to the film.

However if you are looking for a new Christmas romantic comedy that ticks all of the boxes I would recommend The Holidate over this film.
