My Thoughts

I really enjoyed A Boy Called Christmas and having heard that the book was being adapted into a film I was looking forward to seeing how it would turn out. The film fits comfortably in the family, fantasy/ adventure categories and is suitable for most ages in my opinion.

I love the twist on the story of where Santa/ Father Christmas comes from as this is very different to all of the other stories and films which have been made before. Maggie Smith portrays her character brilliantly (I don’t think I have seen a film where I haven’t enjoyed her acting!). The twist with her character at the end is brilliant and rounds the story off perfectly.

I definitely think that this will become a family favourite for years to come! I also think it could be a contender for the best movie for Christmas Eve!
