Monday 7th February 2022
I woke up when my alarm went off but didn’t get up straight away and so I ended up falling back to sleep. I think that sums up what the rest of the day ended up like.
I just felt so tired and groggy.
After a cups of tea I decided to go for a walk via the pharmacy to pick up my prescription – it was SO cold outside.
When I got back I made some breakfast and then procrastinated from doing my university work some more by video calling my Mum.
When I finally got some motivation to do what I needed to the internet went weird and I ended up getting distracted from my university work again.
I tried to make doctors appointment but didn’t get very far with that as apparently there is a new way of booking appointments so will have to call back tomorrow at 8am. I did manage to get my blood test booked in so that was one job ticked off of my to do list.
I spent a little bit of time following a Disney tutorial on YouTube to learn how to draw Stitch. I was quite happy with how it turned out – especially as it was my first attempt.
It was then time for some lunch – I decided to make a chicken burger and chips which I ate whilst watching some TV.
This evening I tried to attend a tutorial for my assignment that is due soon however the internet went weird again which meant the audio kept cutting out making it hard to follow what was going on. In the end I gave up and decided to watch the recorded version later.
Tuesday 8th February 2022
It was another groggy start to the day but I managed to get my doctors appointment sorted out. It took several attempts to get through.
It was a slow day work wise as I am waiting for an issue to be fixed with my laptop.
This evening has bee quite productive and I have managed to plan my time out for completing my assignment, out my washing on, went for a walk, had and shower and packed my bag for going into the office.
I am ready to get some sleep before going in to the office. I hope I don’t wake up groggy again as it would be nice to wake up feeling fresh for a change!
Wednesday 9th February 2022
Between my hip and leg hurting last night I struggled to sleep, plus I was really paranoid about my alarm and sleeping through it so I kept waking up and checking the time. In the end I was just laying awake in bed waiting to get up and get ready to go to work.
I feel like the whole day has ended up being a bit of a faff, especially getting home after work. However it was nice to get out of the house and have a change of scenery.
This evening I have managed to get quite a few things done. I wrapped Marysia’s birthday presents, sorted some life admin stuff out and updated my to do list.
I am wide awake but I know that I need to wind down soon in order to feel awake in the morning for going into the office again.
Thursday 10th February 2022
I was up early again this morning to get into work, I stopped off in Tesco on the way to pick up some breakfast and a drink.
The day seemed to drag quite a bit in the morning but after lunch time seemed to fly and before I knew it I was packing up to go home.
I caught the bus back home which took forever, made dinner and then crashed for the evening. My joints are sore and I am tired, I need my bed.

My joints hurt.
I am tired.
Everything aches.
My blood test and doctors appointment cannot come soon enough.
Saturday 12th February 2022
I was up early ready for Marysia to come and pick me up as I wasn’t going to be able to carry everything on to the train. After she picked me up we went straight to McArthur Glen which is a designer shopping outlet place. As we arrived before the shops opened we went to costa for a drink.
Once we had finished up in Costa we had a wonder around the shops and Marysia picked up some new shoes using some of the money she got for her birthday. It was then time for a pitstop and an early lunch, Marysia wanted to go to Chopstix and as it was her birthday weekend that is where we went. I had some BBQ chicken with rice and we had some spring rolls to share between us. The food was really tasty!
When we finished lunch we wondered around a couple more shops including The Works where I picked up a boxset of books in the sale for £5! Once we were done in the shops we headed back to Marysia’s and unpacked the car. I took Boris for a quick walk before we watched the rugby.
We then needed to go food shopping to pick up the stuff we needed for the week. It didn’t take us too long before we got back and unpacked the shopping.
We had quite a chilled evening. After Marysia went to bed I stayed up for a while blowing up balloons, laying out her presents and putting some banners up ready for her birthday in the morning.
Sunday 13th February 2022
As it is Marysia’s birthday this morning she opened her presents after Boris had his breakfast and then I made us breakfast. Marysia had a breakfast wrap and I had a breakfast muffin – it was SO tasty.
We then had to nip out and pick up some food for Boris as well as go to Marks and Spencer to pick up some food for dinner tomorrow. But first we had a pit stop in Costa.
I took Boris for a little walk while Marysia set up and played on her game for a while. I don’t know what happened but then I ended up falling asleep on the sofa for a few hours.
When I woke up I made Marysia’s birthday cake – she had requested a Banoffee Pie. I have never made one before but I am pretty happy with how it turned out!
Once I had finished making the cake it was time to get dressed for going out to dinner. I had booked a table for dinner at Miller and Carter. When we got there the car park was really full and the restaurant was the busiest we had seen it, when we have been before it has always been really quiet. I had a sirloin steak with beef dripping sauce and a half rack of ribs on the side which we shared, and for dessert I had a chocolate brownie with ice cream.
When we left we were both SO full, Marysia even had a bit of steak to bring back for Boris! But the food was amazing. You really cannot beat a steak from Miller and Carter.
I put some candles in the banoffee pie and sang Marysia Happy Birthday to finish the day off.
All in all it has been a very good weekend!
